Two wine-growing families Our cellars came into being in 1985 when two families, the Monge family and the Granon family, who had been tending vines for four generations, went into partnership. We currently farm 28 hectares mainly located in the district of Vercheny. Located in the heart of the Die country You will find our cellar as you drive into Vercheny, on the bank of the Drôme river driving up the Crest valley towards Die, along the RD 93. To find the vineyard, go to the edge of the built-up area, and follow signs for Vercheny le Haut. There you will discover due south-facing sun-drenched slopes; one of the appellation's best holdings. The land - exceptional contours and climate The Clairette de Die area is marked by mountains land situated either side of the Drôme valley, bordered to the north by the high cliffs of the Vercors, and to the west by the Rhone depression. Getting climatic influences from both the Dauphiné and Haute-Provence regions, this dry Drôme hinterland mountain area is very bright, with a strong exposure to the sun. |

The cellar MONGE GRANON is situated in the very heart of the controlled label region of Die wines. Die vineyards (one of the highest in France) are made of small pieces of land climbing the hills. The variations in climate, influenced by the mountains and by the southern sun, plus the great care taken in the vines, give wines of a great delicacy with a fragrance without equal. Clairette, Crémant and Coteaux de Die all have the Controlled Label which is a guarantee for origin, authenticity and quality. |
